A dozing driver in Svay Rieng town destroyed a bunch of government property early yesterday. The driver was unable to control his lorry and it ploughed through a street sign, a traffic circle and then into the provincial Department of Education.

Perhaps sensing the “education” in store for him if caught, the suspect climbed from the crumpled heap and fled before police arrived. The rig was towed to the impound lot in the hopes someone would come claim it.
