Bag snatchers banged up after stealing spree

A group of adolescent bag-snatchers was snatched up by police in Kandal’s Takhmao town on Saturday following a string of thefts.

Police said some eight youths were arrested after their motorbike licence plates were reported when they stole a young woman’s handbag on Wednesday.

Police then apprehended and arrested the gang members, aged from 15 to 24.

The suspects confessed to multiple thefts of jewellery in local streets and markets, saying that they sold their spoils and split the money. NOKORWAT
