Battambang police shut three cyberbetting shops

The US has the Las Vegas Strip, and – at least until a series of crackdowns on Sunday – Battambang province had a cybergambling centre in Svay Por commune.

Paying visits to three different betting venues in one day, authorities shut down the shops and confiscated 52 monitors and other equipment.

No arrests were reported but all the gear was taken to police headquarters.
