Two alleged phone thieves felt the full force of vigilante justice in Phnom Penh’s Tuol Kork district on Saturday after being apprehended and beaten by local residents.
According to police, the pair snatched a woman’s mobile while on a motorbike but were knocked off their ride by nearby villagers when their victim yelled for help.
Beaten almost to death by residents, the pair were rescued by police and sent to hospital. Their reprieve, however, will be short, with officers set to charge the men after they recover. KOH SANTEPHEAP
