Careless chef in hot water for big blaze

An out-of-control cooking fire tore through 12 houses in Kampong Chhnang province’s Pdar Chhang commune on Wednesday evening.

It took 40 fire trucks and many hours to kill the blaze.

Though there are no reports of death or injury, the loss of properties hit the affected families hard and they are demanding compensation from the cook who started the fire, according to police sources.
