A chain-snatcher wasn’t slick enough to escape mob justice in Ksach Kandal district on Saturday.

According to police, the 29-year-old suspect crept up to a family watching a play at Sovan Morodok pagoda and tried to cut off the necklace from around a child’s neck with a pair of scissors.

However, even though the child and mother were distracted, the father noticed the attempt and called on the crowd to, ahem, “arrest” the suspect.
