Cockfight venue shut during its soft opening

Despite only being open for a few days, a Battambang province cockfighting arena was busted by the Sangke district boys in blue on Saturday.

Neighbours called in the tip, mentioning they were already holding test matches at the venue, so cops swooped in to crack down.

Many of the gamblers fled the scene but three were caught along with three roosters and 10 motorbikes that were all taken down to the station.

It was unclear whether the roosters were charged as of yesterday.
