Cocky thief drives stolen moto in front of owner

A moto thief ended up in hospital when he was spotted by his victim in Phnom Penh’s Chamkarmon district on Saturday, after hitting a pothole and smashing into a wall as he attempted to escape.

The thief had reportedly stolen the bike on April 27 from outside its owner’s apartment. But the thief was startled when the owner shouted for help after seeing the bike being ridden almost three weeks later. Police accompanied the thief to hospital before laying charges against him. The bike was seized. DEUM AMPIL
