Cranky farmer blames stick attack on alcohol

Some playful teasing went a bit too far in Kampong Chhnang’s Teuk Phos district last week.

Police said some locals were drinking beer and making jokes on Wednesday when a farmer took offence, and a scuffle broke out.

He stormed off only to return with a wooden stick. Presumably a bit tipsy, his first two swings missed, but the third connected, sending the other man to the hospital with a head injury.

Police on Friday caught up with the alleged attacker, who blamed the incident on the booze. NOKORWAT
