While a sapodilla farm may not seem the likeliest place for a healthy drug trade, police on Sunday picked up two suspects they said were about to start slinging to the fruit farm’s workers.
The duo, a male factory worker and an unemployed female friend, were nailed in a sting which turned up 28 baggies of drugs along with scales and other paraphernalia.
Three other accomplices are believed on the run. The arrests followed a tip-off from locals.
