Eye on the road leaves driver open to muggers

A trip to visit his brother ended in disaster for one prudent driver in Phnom Penh’s Tuol Kork district on Wednesday.

Confronted by a gaping pothole as he drove home with a friend, he slowed down to avoid a bump and potential damage to his moto, or indeed himself.

But in a darkly ironic twist, a gang of thugs lurking nearby exploited his caution, leaping out and bashing both men before making off with the moto.
