After five years on the run, a 46-year-old farmer accused of being a violent thief and gangster was caught by police in Prey Veng’s Bar Phnom district on Sunday.

In scenes probably nothing like 1993’s The Fugitive, starring Harrison Ford, the man was tracked by officers to Mondulkiri province.

Ratted out by his former accomplices five years ago, the man faces accusations of bag snatching and also of injuring villagers. KOH SANTEPHEAP
