Fleeing cockfighters fail to take flight in Kratie

Six gamblers didn’t bet on law enforcement officers making an appearance at their cockfighting ring in Kratie town on Wednesday.

After several neighbours complained, police raided a house known for hosting illegal activities.

Most of the gamblers managed to scram, but six unlucky participants were caught after a botched – and painful attempt – to escape through a second-storey window.

After promising not to go to any more cockfights, however, the hobbled sextet was released. KAMPUCHEA THMEY
