Fleetfooted Frenchman foils three bag thieves

An 18-year-old bag-snatcher was not fast enough to outrun a French tourist bent on returning his partner’s purse on Monday night.

Three thieves set upon a French couple along the riverside near the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh.

After the bag was snatched, the boyfriend chased the culprits on foot.

He caught one of the thieves, while the other two threw the bag away and ran.

The apprehended bag-snatcher was handed over to police.
