Freed man has burning desire to go back to jail

Recidivism is an ugly thing, folks. That sad truth was demonstrated in Battambang on Monday when a man, just a few months out of prison, tried to set fire to his own mother’s home.

Police said the suspect, who had recently completed a 10-year stint for robbery, had returned to his mum’s house drunk when they quarrelled, prompting him to grab a litre of gas and threaten a fiery conflagration.
