A machete-wielding madwoman was arrested by local police in Siem Reap province’s Varin district after allegedly attacking a friend during an argument.

The 58-year-old attacked her companion on Friday, chopping her with the weapon multiple times.

The 45-year-old victim is in the hospital with serious injuries, while her alleged attacker is now in police custody.
