Two pets were the victims of a thief’s cruelty after they were given poisoned meat during a robbery in Pursat province’s Metoek commune on Thursday.

Police say the suspect brought the tainted food to the 26-year-old victim’s house to silence his dog, whose carcass he took along with the victim’s moto.

After the suspect escaped, however, the victim’s cat also ate some of the fouled flesh and died. Police are searching for the suspect.
