In future, victim likely to sleep with one eye open

Three on one is an unfair fight, but three on one sleeping man? Truly poor form.

Police said the Phnom Penh trio had gotten into an argument with the victim a few weeks ago, and on Friday they saw their chance, sneaking into the victim’s home and striking with a cleaver as he lay in bed.

Shouting for help, the man’s relatives and police converged on the scene, where they were able to grab two of the men.

The victim is now recovering in hospital as police search for the one who got away. KAMPUCHEA THMEY
