Getaway moto’s owner on hook for bag snatch

Poipet police on Monday caught a man believed to be involved in a bag snatching. Officers said two men on a moto rode up to a woman and grabbed her pocketbook, which happened to contain $2,300 in cash, on Sunday.

The woman yelled for help, but the robbers ditched their wheels and escaped on foot. The next day, police apprehended the bike’s owner, 20, who claimed his friends borrowed the vehicle and committed the crime without his knowledge. Police hauled him in nonetheless. DEUM AMPIL
