Gun-check roadblock reels in motorbike thief

If you go fishing, you don’t always land what you expect, as police discovered on Monday night when they set up a roadblock in search of illegal weapons but instead netted a moto thief.

The 28-year-old was one of three men who had nicked a bike in Phnom Penh’s Daun Penh district.

He confessed to the crime and was sent to court, while the motorbike was reunited with its owner.

Police say the man and his accomplices have committed a litany of other robberies.
