Stealing a buffalo isn’t quite a jewellery shop heist, but the ruminants are still a valuable commodity.

Four people were arrested in Prey Veng town on Tuesday after they allegedly stole four buffaloes from local villagers under the cover of night.

They were found in the wild with the beasts by cops, who did not believe their claims that they owned them.

The quartet finally confessed after the victims “identified” their buffaloes at the police station. KOH SANTEPHEAP
