Hot-tempered farmer busted over cold case

A farmer, 38, was taken for questioning by police on Sunday for allegedly threatening and attempting to kill a woman with a gun in Kampong Speu’s Thpong district in 2013.

According to officials, the farmer had tried to shoot the woman after an argument, but villagers intervened to stop him.

Following a complaint by the woman, authorities attempted to summon the man to court, but the suspect had fled.

Thinking two years was enough time for the heat to die down, the man returned, only to be nabbed straightaway.
