An unemployed 20-year-old was handed over to police on Monday morning, after dressing as a high school student and entering a school in Phnom Penh’s Prampi Makara district to steal a mobile phone.

Police said the youth entered a class and pretended to borrow a mobile phone from a student, before attempting to escape.

But the phone owner and his classmates gave chase and captured him.

The suspect told cops he acted in desperation as he was jobless and broke.
