Kandal man ambushed, beaten by capital gang

The capital is just down the road from Kandal province, but it must have seemed a world away for a Takhmao man who was ambushed by a gang of 10 in Meanchey district on Tuesday.

Heading into the city, the motorist was surrounded by the crew brandishing rocks and swords who grabbed his bike and split after he wiped out.

Luckily, the man sustained only an injured shoulder and was questioned by police who began their search for the crew of scooter-stealing scoundrels.
