A local gran is recovering in hospital after a brush with danger on Sunday night. Police said the elderly woman was riding with her daughter on a moto when a scurrilous chain-snatcher ripped the necklace from around her throat and sent her tumbling to the concrete.

The daughter momentarily gave chase, then thought better of it and returned to assist her injured mum. Police are now on the hunt for the suspect. KOH SANTEPHEAP
