Man arrested after striking wife in anger

A Banteay Meanchey man in Poipet was quite rightly arrested for beating his wife on Tuesday.

The victim filed a complaint, showing police the bruise remaining over her left eye and her face, which was half swollen after her 49-year-old husband dealt his blows.

The suspect admitted to police he was violent to his wife and pushed her against the wall, but claimed he didn’t mean to hurt her.

He has been sent to the court in order for the woman to see justice served.
