A young boy walking through rice fields in Kratie town stumbled across the bloody body of a man he thought was dead on Sunday.

Authorities found the 37-year-old victim still alive and sent him to hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

The victim’s family said the man had left his home on a moto in the morning and they were surprised when he did not return all day.

Police suspect the man was beaten during a motorcycle robbery and then left in the fields. No suspect has been found. Deum Ampil
