Just when you thought the Khmer New Year bloodshed had been stemmed for another year, a man in Kampong Chhnang town settled a lingering score with a brutal stick attack.

The assailant had reportedly got into a scuffle with two other men during celebrations last month. But upon seeing one of the two on Friday, the man chased him down on his motorbike and beat him, causing injuries that required hospitalisation.
