A drunken man was beaten with a bamboo stick by his elderly neighbour in Por Sen Chey district on Sunday night.

The man returned home and noisily revved his moto, rousing his neighbour. When the old man asked him to stop, the drunk man threatened to burn down the older man’s house.

The old man then lashed out with a bamboo stick, sending his neighbour to the hospital with back and hand injuries. Police are trying to negotiate a compromise.
