Masked thieves nab daughter’s wedding gift

Two of three robbers were arrested after stealing a $750 dowry in Kampong Chhnang on Sunday.

The victim, who planned to give the dowry to her engaged daughter, was home alone in heavy rain while her husband was out to hunt frogs.

Three men masked with scarves forced their way in and menaced her with knives and axes until she surrendered the money.

When the victim filed a complaint, police found and arrested two of the culprits, who hail from the same village. The third is still at large.
