Mother told you he was no good, now he’s in jail

A drunken lout in Kandal’s Ang Snuol district inadvertently proved his critical mother-in-law right when he allegedly attacked her in a booze-addled fit on Tuesday.

According to police, the man came home three sheets to the wind to find his mother-in-law cursing him for his constant drunkenness.

Presumably grabbing what was closest at hand, a bottle, the man struck the elderly woman in the head.

Her calls for help alerted neighbours, who called police, who arrested the drunken deadbeat.
