Moto-borne jewel thief loses control, liberty

A klutzy cook will have plenty of time to consider new career options after his brief foray into a life of crime ended in disaster and arrest on Saturday.

He attempted to snatch the necklace of a 53-year-old woman in Chamkarmon district, but the demands of mastering his moto and stealing jewellery proved too difficult, and the 16-year-old cook collided with a car, fell off his moto, and was promptly arrested by patrolling police.
