Motorcyclist attacked and felled on night out

Some end-of-year gaiety went horribly awry for a man in the capital on Wednesday night when he was assaulted and robbed when heading out for a drink.

According to police, the victim was riding to meet friends in Kandal Market when his path was crossed by a gang on two motorbikes who pulled him from his vehicle and began beating his head.

When he finally managed to extricate himself and run for help, the opportunistic offenders took off on his bike. Police sent the victim to hospital with head injuries.
