Necklace thief bagged for selling stolen loot

Broke and far from home, three teen hoodlums from Phnom Penh decided to fund their Banteay Meanchey visit with a little impromptu chain-snatching on Saturday.

Police said the trio, riding one motorbike, ripped the necklace from around a woman’s throat as she patronised a fruit vendor and sped into the night.

Unfortunately for the assailants, their 17-year-old ringleader was caught the next day trying to sell it. KOH SANTEPHEAP
