Battambang town police arrested a quintet who allegedly tried pinching a tractor from a pagoda on Saturday.

According to police, local farmers had kept their tractor in the pagoda overnight as it had run out of gasoline – an arrangement the local abbott is said to have agreed to.

By the morning, the tractor was gone. Perhaps hoping for a karmic boost, locals came forward and identified the thieves. The group luckily had not yet sold the vehicle for profit. Koh Santepheap
