Not so chicken: owner assaults fowl thief

A 28-year-old thief thought he had it “in the bag” on Tuesday as he wrapped up his latest heist in the border town of Poipet.

And he did, briefly, eight chickens to be precise.

But the clucking in the aforementioned sack must have been a dead giveaway when the home’s owner returned just as he was leaving.

Confronting him, the chickens’ rightful owner pulled a knife and proceeded to stab the thief. Police ended up arresting both men as a result.
