Poipet pilferer pumelled by mob of angry locals

A busted burglar made like a parkour artist on Sunday, leaping from roof to roof in a bid to escape mob justice in Banteay Meanchey’s Poipet town.

Impressive as it was, it all came to naught when he finally hit the ground.

Waiting for him were a healthy group of villagers who dispensed a plethora of kicks and punches before police arrived to tote him off to hospital.

Presumably fearing a leap across the provincial medical centre’s rooftops, he was cuffed securely to his bed.
