Sept 4: Two veteran robbers are arrested by police while trying to rob

a Royal motorcycle in Sangkat Viel Vong, Phnom Penh. Victim Khem Channa says the

two offenders pointed a hand gun at her and forced her to get off the bike after

she dropped her children at a Chinese school at 7:15am.

 

Sept 3: Huot Se, 34, is shot and killed by two armed offenders who rob

his car at a ferry port on Route 6A in Leuk Dek district, Kandal, at 12:30pm.

Witnesses say the criminals ride in another car to conduct the robbery.

Sept 3: A man is shot and killed and his wife seriously wounded by

unidentified offenders who rob their motorcycle at the Kompong Speu market at

4:30am.

Sept 2: Chey Sokhoeun, 16, is killed by a lightning strike while she

is riding on a boat to pick bindweed in a lake in Mean Chey district, Phnom

Penh, at 5:30pm.

Sept 2: Pupil Sok Siem, 19, is shot and killed by two offenders

carrying a K59 hand gun while he is riding a bicycle with his friend at the

Takhmao town south of Phnom Penh at 4:30pm. Police says it is a case of malice,

because the victim had a conflict with the suspected offenders.

Sept 1: Moto-taxi driver Yim Phearak, 31, is poisoned by an offender

who steals his Yamaha C80 motorcycle in Preah Ponlea village, Khan Mean Chey,

Phnom Penh, at 22:30pm. Yim says he was cheated by the thief into drinking beer

with poison that kncoked him out.

Aug 31: Four men are shot and wounded when in a conflict two gangs who

are dancing and stepping on each other's feet at the Bopha Tip night club in

Phnom Penh. The four men include two military policemen, a nightclub security

guard and an Interior Minister's body guard.

Aug 31: Em Sothea, 25, is shot and killed by a gang of ten rogue

soldiers who rob gold stores at the Psar Krom market in Siem Reap at 8:30am.

Nine offenders armed with AK47 rifles and a B-40 rocket launcher open fire at

the police in order to escape. The police arrest one robber on the spot.

Aug 29: Policeman Dek Vichet, 27, is wounded with two shots in his

thigh and arm by an unidentified offender while he is coming out of the Vimean

Pkay Meas Night Club in Russeikeo district, Phnom Penh. Police are

investigating.

Aug 29: Two women are drowned when a pleasure boat sinks in a river in

Kratie. Three other women are saved by some male passengers.

Aug 29: Criminal Seng Seiha and two other associates are arrested by

police for killing Nong Poly, 24, in a conflict while singing in a karaoke shop

on street 271, Phnom Penh on Aug 27.

Aug 28: A villager is killed and another seriously wounded when they

step on a Khmer Rouge land mine while looking for firewood in Maung Russei

district, Battambang.

Aug 25: Four armed offenders break into a house and rob the owners of

two motorcycles in Sangkat Kilometer 6, Russeikeo district, Phnom Penh, at one

o'clock after mid night.

Aug 24: Two soldiers from the special unit are killed and two others

and a civilian wounded in an armed conflict between a gang of 60 soldiers riding

on two military trucks and a group of military police at the Prek Pnov post

North of Phnom Penh.

Aug 22: A husband and wife are killed and five other people wounded by

an unidentified gang of criminals who throws a hand grenade into their house in

Russeikraing village, Battambang, at 8pm. Police say the incident is a case of

malice.

Aug 21: Prey Sar prison guard is arrested by police after he shot and

killed a 16-year-old friend in a conflict.

Aug 21: Moto-taxi driver Song Try, 32, is shot and killed by three

armed offenders dressed in military uniform who rob his Cub50 motorcycle in

Oraing Eov district, Kompong Cham.

Aug 20: Pen Noeun, 37, a street cleaner, is seriously wounded by a

Vietnamese fortune teller who stabs her fours times at Wat Phnom Penh, Phnom

Penh.
