October 29: Sok Mok, 46, a sorcerer, was shot dead with an AK-47 at 7:30

pm in Sre Andaung 2 village, Battambang. Police said the victim was assassinated

by four men who cut out the victim's liver, cooked it and added it to wine then drank

it. One assailant Sam Tout, 33, was arrested, and three others escaped.

October 30: A 5 year-old Muslim girl Seth Sambarey, was found dead in a pond

about 200 meters from Damnak Popeal village, Kampong Cham at about 3pm. After inspection,

police said the victim was stabbed twice in her neck and her vagina. The motivation

for the killing is not known.

October 30: Ma Linna, 9, was released back home after her family paid $40,000

to kidnappers. The victim who is a daughter of an electrical supplies shop owner

was abducted on her way home from school. The two kidnappers initially demanded $70,000

ransom.

October 31: Sao Saron, 17, a gangster, was shot with a K-54 handgun and seriously

wounded at noon by his accomplices after they traded gunshots following a dispute

over a woman in Tonle Bati village, Bati district, Takeo. Police said that two others

who came from Phnom Penh were beaten and injured by another group which escaped safely.

October 31: An unidentified man was found dead under a big tree in Thmey village,

Kampong Cham. The victim was stabbed and chopped many times. The motivation for the

killing is not known, however, police said the victim was assassinated by robbers

who took his necklace and some money.

November 1: Meang Cheng, 35, a moto-taxi driver, was beaten and seriously

injured at 11:00 am after he had stopped to urinate in Chamkar Leu precinct, Kamchaimear

district, Prey Veng. Police said the victim was beaten with a stick on his head and

neck by two robbers who escaped safely with the victim's motorbike.

November 1: Sok Sam Aun, 31, died in a motor accident at 6:00 pm. The victim

was riding a motorbike on Russian Federation Blvd when he was hit from behind by

a Daewoo car and died instantly. The car's driver Nhem Hel, 30, a security-guard

from Phnom Penh Municipal Fire Station was arrested.

November 1: Bang Thien, 46, was robbed at 7:30 pm while she was watching TV

at home in Kbal Koh village, Lavia Em district, Kandal. Police said that six unidentified

offenders wearing Para uniform, armed with AK-47s, escaped with two diamond necklaces

and five pairs of gold earring worth $12,637.

November 2: Roeun Chea, 46, a farmer, was shot dead at 9:00pm while he was

going to bed in Mean Chey village, Prey Veng. Police said the victim was shot three

times in his right and left chest and died immediately. The two assailants, armed

with AK-47s, escaped after the incident. The reason for the attack is not known.

November 3: Sieng Chham, 47, a moto-taxi driver, died in an accident at 6:30

pm while he was under a tree taking shelter from the rain on Mao Tse Tung Blvd in

Toul Svay Prey 2 precinct, and he was hit by a FUSO truck. Police said the truck

driver Seng Hay was drunk and he was arrested immediately after incident.

November 3: The bodies of a couple, Em Soeun, 39, and Sat Sam, 36, were found

floating in a canal at 9:00 am in Phaov village, Prey Veng. After inspection, police

said the victims who are farmers with three children drowned while they were fishing

in a ricefield and slid into a deep canal.

November 4: A 30 year-old unidentified man, was beaten to death at 10:00 am

while he was taking a motorbike from the parking area at the National Institute for

Management in Wat Phnom precinct, Daun Penh district. Police said the victim was

killed by students who accused the person of theft.

November 4: Niay Mates Ploak, 46, a popular comedian, was seriously injured

in a motor accident at 10:15 pm on National Route 6A. Police said the victim who

was drunk, suffered a broken leg and was sent to Calmette hospital immediately.

November 4: Lao Meng, 30, a moto-taxi driver, was chopped and seriously injured

at 6:30 pm while dropping a customer in Teuk Laak 1 precinct, Toul Kok district.

Police said the victim was chopped once in the back of his head. Police intervened

before the robber could take any of the victim's property.

November 4: Ngin Sophay, 45, a driver from the Ministry of Water Resources,

was shot dead at 7:20 pm while returning from his sister's house in Boeng Tumpon

commune, Mean Chey district. Police said the victim was shot three times by his nephew

Choup Yong, 16, who had been very angry with his uncle before the incident.

November 5: Sok Sambath, 33, was chopped at 3:00 pm and seriously injured

during a family quarrel in Thnol Tateung village, Ang Snoul district, Kandal. Police

said the victim who had four children was chopped three times in his shoulder and

his back by his wife Chhoun Sarom, 36, who had fallen in love with another man.

November 6: A hand grenade was thrown into Sin Sokha's house at midnight in

Psah Thmei 2 precinct by an unidentified man. Police said the victim who is the owner

of Dusit Pitou hotel and also a member of Phnom Penh Chamber of Commerce has been

the victim of three grenade attacks. No reason for the attacks has been given.

November 6: Hean Oeun, 21, a vagrant, was beaten and soaked in gasoline and

ignited by a group of street children in Mitapheap commune, 7 January district, Phnom

Penh. Police said the victim who came from Kampong Cham was seriously injured and

sent to Calmette hospital immediately. The reason is not known.

November 7: A 15 year-old girl Srim Sarom, was found dead at 8:00 am in O

Yiay Thloeng canal located in Chong Koh Thmey village, Koh Thom district, Kandal.

Police said the victim was raped by an unidentified man before being killed while

she was pulling a Prolit (a type of water snake) from the canal above.

November 8: Tol Kim Nal, 34, was seriously injured in an accident with a

car while he was riding a motorbike on Russian Federation Blvd in O Bekaam commune,

Toul Kok district. Police said the victim came from Koh Kong province and was sent

to Kosamak hospital immediately. The unidentified car driver escaped.
