Stabbing attack leaves one dead, one injured

A 21-year-old man died and his girlfriend was seriously injured when they were stabbed in the capital’s Dangkor district on Saturday. Police said the couple was sitting in a secluded place when two men assaulted them. The pair’s cries for help went unnoticed because of the remoteness of the area. A man was caught red-handed while attempting to steal a motorcycle in Kampong Thom’s Stung Sen district on Friday. Police said four men had been trying to make off with a motorcycle parked in front of a karaoke shop when they were spotted by patrolling officers. Neighbour’s tip results in drug bust, arrests

Two men and a woman were arrested for alleged trafficking and use of drugs in Kampong Speu’s Samrong Tong district on Saturday. Police said the trio was arrested while they were using drugs in a house. A bag of ya ma was also seized. Man beaten to death with shovels over moto

Three men were arrested after they allegedly murdered a 27-year-old man in Banteay Meanchey’s Poi Pet town on Saturday. Police said the victim was talking with friends in a secluded place. The suspects then used shovels to hit the victim, killing him immediately. Police arrested the suspects after the victim’s friend filed a complaint. Two arrested in wake of fishy iPhone sale

A vendor's tip-off led to the arrest of two men for allegedly stealing a mobile phone in the capital’s Meanchey district on Saturday. Police said the suspects sold an iPhone 4 to a vendor in Sorya supermarket for US$200. Suspicious, he filed a complaint to the police. Police matched the complaint to a report of a stolen iPhone and arrested the men. Rasmey Kampuchea
