Police snatch up one of two bag-snatchers

A botched bag-snatching landed a man in custody in Phnom Penh’s Daun Penh district police on Sunday.

Police said a 25-year-old NGO worker was riding a motorbike home from the office when two men on a moto attempted to grab her bag.

Both bikes ended up crashing. Nearby motodops were quick enough to apprehend one of the men, but the other made good his escape.

A search of the first suspect’s person reportedly yielded tools for breaking moto locks.
