Pursat man busted for fishy business abuse

Give a man a fish, the saying goes, and he’ll eat for a day. Give a man a rod, and he might just sneak into a protected wildlife reserve.

A 55-year-old man was arrested In Pursat’s Kandieng district yesterday after sneaking into a protected fishery area to carry out some illicit angling while he was there.

Police confiscated his illegal tackle, before sending the would-be fish filcher to the provincial Fisheries Administration.
