Rogue driver rubs salt in couple’s wounds

In a tragically ironic twist, a man and his wife were badly injured in Kandal’s Takhmao town on Monday on their way home from receiving medical treatment.

Police said the couple were returning from the doctor on their motorbike when a speeding car slammed into them.

The driver attempted to flee, but made it only metres before ditching the car and making off on foot.

Police arrived at the scene, impounding the vehicle and sending the couple back to hospital. They are now seeking the unidentified driver.
