Seven smartphones for the price of a gun

A Phnom Penh phone store in Tuol Kork’s Doeum Kor commune was robbed of seven handsets yesterday by a gun-wielding goon.

After parking his moto outside and pretending to peruse the store’s wares for a half-hour, the suspect revealed he’d been packing a handheld device of a much more lethal variety, with which he threatened the owner before grabbing seven phones and fleeing for cover into a nearby market.
