The effects of love can be intoxicating, they say, but rarely does it leave one unconscious.

One man’s attempts to court a 20-year-old female garment worker culminated with him imbibing a “love potion”, which did precisely that.

The object of his affections asked to meet him at a Por Sen Chey district guesthouse yesterday morning, where she presented two cups of ‘juice’.

After quaffing the beverage, the man passed out and awoke at noon, unable to walk, with no sign of his moto, money or ladyfriend.
