A pair of city-dwelling samurais, aged 18 and 27, were nabbed in Phnom Penh’s Sen Sok district early yesterday, after patrolling police saw them wielding their weapons in the wee hours of the night.
Police said they think the pair are members of a local gang and could be involved in a spate of sword-point robberies in the area in recent weeks.
The pair insisted they bore the blades for self-defence. The investigation is ongoing.
