Thief slips away from absent-minded jeweller

A crafty 26-year-old pretended to be a buyer in a Por Sen Chey district jewellery shop on Tuesday but took window shopping to a new level when he simply stole the desired item that he evidently couldn’t afford.

The shop owner said she was so busy that she had forgotten to close one of the display cases before serving other customers. When she came to retrieve an item from the case, she realised a necklace was missing and looked up to see the thief making a hasty getaway. Kampuchea Thmey
