A morning moto drive for two young lovers in Svay Rieng ended violently on Thursday after they collided with a speeding moto on National Road 1.

The couple, who were entering the national road from a village street, were struck by an oncoming driver – who was allegedly driving too fast.

The motorbikes were written off and all three involved in the collision have been taken to hospital.
