Three crooks are on the run after an attempted truck theft in Phnom Penh’s Toul Kork district on Sunday evening was foiled by an ambulance’s timely intervention.

The owner of the vehicle was woken from her slumber by the sound of her truck’s engine, and shouted for help.

Little did the thieves reckon on a nearby ambulance, which promptly gave chase.

The thief driver panicked and fled, and the abandoned truck was returned to its owner.
