Two in capital arrested for running a numbers game

Taking their inspiration from the Kingdom’s neighbour to the east, two women were arrested for organising a lottery in the capital’s Sen Sok district on Tuesday.

The women, who were apprehended after villagers tipped off cops, say they based their operation off Vietnam draws.

Twenty-six dollars in cash were confiscated along with a calculator, three sheets of ledger, five pens and a mobile phone.

The suspects were taken to police headquarters where they were charged for the illicit gambling.
